Nowadays phase plates have been staring to use widely. Application of phase plates in objective aperture and shifting phase by Pi/2 in weak contract enabled SPA and CryoTomography make a leap ahead and reveal new structures. The goal of this subproject is to create a third generations pushing these imperfection out of the user visibility. So lifetime is expected 2+ years including possible recovery procedures and phase modification stability within 10% after activation. New layers of modified Carbon and BxNy have a potential to be the right solution. They will be designed and prepared for real microscope testing.
