Impinging and effervescent injections are used to generate small droplets in fuel and other sprays. For example, multiple streams of fuel and oxidizers are injected at collision angles in rocket combustion chambers. Effervescent atomizers send both the liquid and air streams within the injector, and thus can be considered as an internal analog of liquid jets in co-flow of air. The interaction of the air and liquid enhances the final drop size for a similar reason. The drop size during atomization processes in various injection geometries has been considered by Lee and co-workers [1-5]. In this work, we apply the same theoretical basis to impinging and effervescent liquid jets.
