Originální abstrakt

The article focuses on analyzing the development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and its impact on the economic growth of the Czech Republic regions. The authors' aim is to decide whether ICT significantly affects the economy of the Czech Republic. In order to get a relevant answer to this question, the authors performed analyses using descriptive statistics and statistical analyses methods, including cluster analysis of data. There was proposed and subsequently applied a special indicator in statistical analysis for the evaluation of the ICT level in the Czech Republic regions. A statistics and analytics software product, Statistica 9, was used for data analysis.
