Originální abstrakt

This paper presents an approach to sensor networking that offers a reusable design pattern for a class of sensor-based applications. It deals with an integrated, sensor networking framework stemming from the IEEE 1451.1 standard complemented by the Internet Protocol multicast communication, mediating efficient and unified access to smart sensors on Internet. Kernel of the paper focuses on implementation of those concepts and on their utilization for Internet-based measurement systems.
