The main aim is to reduce energy losses during production of long products such as rails. This include reduction of product temperature drop during descaling but assuring an optimal descaling, during rolling in universal rolling stand, by radiation between stand, convection to guiding equipment but even more important by parasitic coolant flows on the product.
