Profile

Purpose of university studies is to give theoretical knowledge defined in PART-FCL for the traffic pilot ATPL (A), needed for theoretical exams ATPL (A). Passing these exams is necessary prediction for obtaining the pilot license for business air transport. Theoretical study is organized so that student can complete his/her practical training - financially covered by students themselves or with help of potential employer. This practical training is provided at accredited flying school - ATO (Approved training organization), out of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Theoretical study is finished by defense of final bachelor's work and passing the final state exam. Graduate obtains the certificate of complete theoretical education ATPL (A)-650. As a standard, graduate should leave institute with Commercial Pilot license (CPL), qualification IFR.

Key learning outcomes

Passing these exams is necessary prediction for obtaining the pilot license for business air transport. Theoretical study is organized so that student can complete his/her practical training - financially covered by students themselves or with help of potential employer. This practical training is provided at any accredited flying school - FTO (Flying training organization), out of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Theoretical study is finished by defense of final bachelor's work and passing the final state exam. Graduate obtains Bc title and the certificate of complete theoretical education ATPL (A). As a standard, graduate should leave institute with Commercial Pilot license (CPL), qualification IFR.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples

After obtaining the pilot license for business air transport, graduates of Professional pilot branch find opportunity for application by number of air transport companies in Czech Republic or in countries of European Union, which are engaged in business air transport or some of other aviation jobs, flying training, air rescue service, guard and fire fighter job, air police service and the like.
Graduates of Professional pilot branch can continue their study in Master's degree programme - Aeronautical Traffic branch.
