The mission of the BUT Welcome Service is to support current and future international staff at BUT. We are the first contact point for future BUT employees and researchers. WS is here for all international incoming staff including short-term stays, PhD students and their family members.

We will provide you with all the necessary information for as smooth arrival to Brno as possible. 

We can assist you in the following areas:

• Formalities before arrival (documents needed for visa application, accommodation, insurance, traveling to the Czech Republic and Brno...)
• Information after arrival (registration at the Department of Asylum and Migration Policy (OAMP), work medical check up, bank account, language courses in Brno...)
• Obligations during your stay (waste collection fee, public transport, lost or theft of documents...)
• Further occasions in which you may need our help
