Information on the ongoing 5th year of the competition BUT Student Entrepreneurship Award 2024/2025

Registration for the competition has already closed.
The competition is open to all BUT students who meet the conditions of the 5th Annual BUT Student Entrepreneurship Award.

The registration form is designed to help you present your business plan (which includes a LeanCanvas, competitive analysis and market research, and a financial plan for implementation) to the evaluation committee. It is advisable to read the registration form properly and prepare to answer all the mandatory questions before the actual registration. The text sections, unless otherwise indicated, should be completed bearing in mind that the evaluators will have a maximum of 30 minutes to evaluate the entire form.

Project GO to BUSINESS! 2023/2024

The course Developing and Implementing a Business Idea (RaRPN) is one of the tools we use to develop and support the entrepreneurship of BUT students, to promote the transfer of knowledge of good business practice, and thus to fulfil one of BUT's strategic objectives.

The course Developing and Implementing a Business Idea (RaRPN) is implemented in cooperation between the Faculty of Entrepreneurship of the BUT (FP BUT) and the South Moravian Innovation Centre (JIC).

The course is supervised by doc. Ing. Vít Chlebovský, Ph. D., FP BUT

The aim of the course is

  • To acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to test the market potential of a business idea and to prepare a business plan.
  • To develop creative thinking, planning skills and teamwork.
  • Develop the ability to assess and manage implementation risks.
  • Promote an innovative approach to problem solving.

Registration for the course is always on the 5th calendar day before the start of the semester, i.e. on 13 September 2023 from 8:00 to 22:00 in StudIS system.

The course will be held for the last time in the winter semester. From the 2024/2025 academic year, the course will be held only in the summer semester.

The course has a capacity of 80 students per semester and is worth 4 credits!

The course will start on Tuesday 26 September 2023 at JIC – Purkyňova 127, SALM conference room.

The courses will be held on 26/9, 3/10, 17/10, 24/10, 7/11, 14/11, 28/11, 5/12, i.e. a total of 8 times per semester. The duration of the lessons is 3 hours, always from 14:00 to 17:00.

The 5th Annual of the BUT Student Entrepreneurship Award competition will be announced in the spring of 2024 for the year 2024/2025. Participation in the BUT Student Entrepreneurship Award competition does not require enrolment in and completion of the Development and Implementation of a Business Idea course.
