It’s not just a competition for financial support. It’s an opportunity to gain experience, make connections, receive feedback from experts, and verify whether your idea has real potential. The BUT Student Entrepreneurship Award is announced annually by the BUT Rector.

Over the course of a few months, you’ll follow the same path that real startups take.From the initial presentation of your idea through its validation, consultations with mentors, and presentations to an expert panel, all the way to the final defense of your results. At every stage, you’ll receive feedback that will help you move your project forward.You don’t need to have a finished business plan or any entrepreneurial experience. What matters is a good idea, a desire to learn, and the determination to work on developing it.
Any student or student team from BUT who wants to tackle a real-world problem and is looking for a way to put their idea into practice.It doesn’t matter which faculty or degree program you’re in. In past years, projects from technical, natural science, economic, and creative fields have been successful. What matters is the potential of the idea and the energy you put into it.
Registration for the 7th annual BUT Student Entrepreneurship Award competition will open in September 2026.
