Do you want to launch your own startup? Gain hands-on experience with entrepreneurship? Connect with students across universities and disciplines!

How to get started?

Sign up for the inter-university course Business Idea Development and Realization I, where you will:

  • work in a team of students from VUT, Mendelu, and MUNI,
  • create your own product or service,
  • test its market potential,
  • and kick-start a real startup!

The course is taught in collaboration with JIC during the winter semester 2025/2026.


Sign up for the Business Idea Development and Realization II , which will help you:

  • deepen your knowledge of entrepreneurship,
  • learn the principles of knowledge transfer,
  • and prepare for commercialization of your idea.

This course also runs in the winter semester 2025/2026, in cooperation with JIC.
Participation in the follow-up course is not conditional on completing the first course.

In spring 2026, register for the 7th edition of the BUT Student Entrepreneurship Award, or join the summer competition BoosterChallenge VUT: From Idea to Prototype in One Summer!, where you can:

  • apply your knowledge in practice,
  • present your project to an expert jury,
  • and win financial support for further development.
Participation in the competitions is not dependent on completing the courses Business Idea Development and Realization I and II – but they will definitely increase your chances of success!
