Electrical circuits (the basic ideas and laws, AC and DC circuits – features, methods of solution, and circuits in transient status). Electric components and their properties. Magnetic circuits. Electronic components (PN transitions, diodes, bipolar and unipolar transistors, thyristors, triacs, optoelectronic components). Electronic circuits ( amplifiers, operational amplifiers, generators, stabilizers, rectifiers, inverters, DC and AC converters, semiconductor switches, logic circuits, registers, counters, microprocessors). Semiconductor memories. Electric machines (transformers, asynchronous and synchronous DC and special machines – linear and stepping motors, and selsyns). Electrical devices (breakers, protective devices, relays, contactors). Electric drives. Electrical measurements (measurement accuracy, measurement errors, measurement methods, electrical measurements of non-electrical quantities). Safety in electrical engineering.
