Research organizations in the Czech Republic are evaluated according to Methodology 17+, approved by Government Resolution No. 107 on 8 February 2017. The evaluation is conducted across five modules, each focusing on different aspects of research activity. More information is available here.
In 2025, the second comprehensive evaluation of research organizations in the higher education segment is taking place. This assessment follows the new HEI2025+ Methodology, approved by Government Resolution No. 683 on 2 October 2024.
Higher education institutions are evaluated in modules 3–5, based on:
Evaluations are conducted by International Evaluation Panels (IEP), similar to the previous evaluation in 2020.
Results from modules 3–5 are integrated with national-level evaluations in modules 1–2.

Evaluation Outputs and Organization
The main outcome is the Evaluation Report, which IEP submits to the Ministry for final processing.IEP activities are coordinated by the Ministry in collaboration with universities, as in 2020.
