Open Science
Since 2014, the Open Access Fund has allowed authors to publish openly in journals that charge an article processing charge (APC). In 9 years, almost 300 articles have been supported with more than CZK 12 million of funds. All supported articles were also deposited in the BUT Digital Library.
Over the years, the following basic requirements for a successful application for support from the Fund have been gradually established:
- The BUT author must be a first and/or correspondence author
- A fully open access journal must be indexed by the Directory of Open Access Journals database
- The journal must be ranked in the relevant field in the Journal Citation Reports database in quartile Q1 according to the Article Influence Score
- The article must be published under a Creative Commons licence
All the latest information, guidance and instructions on how to apply can be found on the Central Library website.
