Content and Thematic Blocks

Teaching is organised in the form of thematic blocks, each block having an expert lecturer and practically oriented content. To receive the certificate, participants must complete all blocks, with a maximum of one absence.

Block 1: Introduction to Doctoral Studies

Block 2: Publication Activity

• Competence frameworks and professional growth
• Science communication
• Introduction to scientific publishing

• Scientific resources and literature searches
• AI for publication activity

Block 3: Project and Research Activity

Topics:

• Projects at BUT: from selecting a suitable project scheme to successful project implementation
• Knowledge transfer and protection of intellectual property in research and innovation
• Basics of working with research data
• Research data management and digital competences

Block 4: Support Activities

Topics:

• Career growth, personal development, leadership
• Teaching Toolkit
• Start-up opportunities at BUT, entrepreneurship
• Design Thinking
