3D Models Making for Beginners

FaVU-13DPZAcad. year: 2023/2024

The course is intended to introduce students new to 3D modelling to the issues of working with 3D models using simple and specific 3D programs. In practical exercises, the course focuses on the basics of working with 3D models created using 3D editors (software), the basics of 3D scanning or obtaining the necessary data from web sources. The course introduces the use of 3D models in visualizations or in preparation for production with 3D technologies and overall introduces the learner to the basics of 3D spatial creation.

Aims

The course aims to introduce students to working with 3D models and the basics of modelling techniques in freely available 3D graphic editors. The course should provide with skils necessary fo creating models for use in visualizations and preparation for production with 3D technologies.

Students will gain a basic orientation of working with 3D models, their use in spatial and virtual creation. On the basis of practical exercises they will gain the necessary knowledge for their modification in freeware programs Autodesk Meshmixer, Daz 3D, 3DF Zephyr.
