Quotations in a Research Work

The course acquaints students with the issues of citation (creation of reference, plagiarism, citation analysis, etc.) and the copyright aspects of scientific publishing. In addition, attention is also paid to searching for scientific information and scientific writing. The course is focused on the practical use of scientific resources.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will know the principles of ethical use of information. They will be able to create references of various kinds of documents and use reference managers to create them. They will know the copyright aspects of publishing and open access issues. They will be able to search in the electronic information sources available at BUT.
