To keep classrooms and labs from sitting empty over the summer, Brno University of Technology is offering a wide range of summer schools taking place at its faculties and institutes from June to September. These summer schools will allow participants to dive into science and the arts, exploring fields they’re passionate about. High school students can choose from 27 summer programs to experience science hands-on.High school students will visit labs and studios. | Author: Jakub RozboudFaculty of Mechanical EngineeringHighschoolers can spend their summer with technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, which is organizing five different summer schools. If you’re interested in designing new products, a perfect choice is the Summer School of 3D Printing and Design – IngCamp 2025, held from July 21–25. Participants will design a vehicle's propulsion mechanism and bodywork, work with a 3D printer, and race in a pneumobile. Register here. Summer School of Programming and Artificial Intelligence will take place from July 28–31 and will immerse students in Python programming, robotics, and working with AI. Summer School of Mechatronics, happening from July 28 to August 1, offers insights into various mechatronics areas. Participants will solder, measure circuits, program control systems—and might even meet a collaborative robot! Register by July 13. At the Summer School of Materials Science: Discover the World of Materials ini August 25–28, students will explore the micro-world of materials and their surprising properties. The program includes a field trip to Tescan, where participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at electron microscope production. Register by June 30. Summer Schools 2024. | Author: Jakub Rozboud Summer School of Engineering Technologies offers an experience in machining, casting, forming, and 3D printing. Participants will gain hands-on experience and create custom souvenirs. The school takes place from August 25–28, 2025. Register by June 25 here. Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Summer School of Biomedicine in June 9–11 introduces the connection between medicine and technology. Participants will measure muscle activity, analyze heart rhythm, dismantle a CT scanner, compare their DNA to that of dinosaurs, and even learn how to trick a lie detector. At the Summer School of Cybersecurity in June 23–25, students will learn about common cyberattacks, ethical hacking, malware analysis, and how malware works, all in advanced labs including the cyber arena BUTCA. Register here. The Radioelectronics Workshop: Mission with Impact in July 28–30 lets students build and test a telemetry unit, learn about wireless communication and sensor data collection. The program includes expert lectures and excursions. Register by June 15. The faculty is also organizing a day camp titled Plant Wellbeing from August 11–15. Center of Sports Activities Summer School of Sports Technologies, organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, lets high schoolers explore movement analysis, sports training monitoring, and load testing. Held August 25–26. CEITEC BUT The research center is organizing an English-language summer school – CEITEC Student Talent Summer School 2025. From August 11–15, students will explore scientific research through lectures, lab visits, and selected projects. Summer Schools 2024. | Author: Jakub Rozboud Faculty of Business and Management The Entrepreneurs 2025 Summer School, running August 25–29, teaches high schoolers how business works—from idea development to brand identity, artificial intelligence, and social media for business. Faculty of Fine Arts Summer schools at the Faculty of Fine Arts offer a creative way to spend part of the summer. Participants will explore artistic techniques, develop creative skills, and meet interesting people. Open to the general public and prospective art students. Faculty of Civil Engineering The main goal of the Summer Technical School (August 27–September 5) is to support applicants for technical studies and reinforce their knowledge. The ten-day program strengthens skills in math, geometry, physics, chemistry, and IT—making the start of university easier and increasing chances of academic success. Register here.
