Flowers against cancer will be available for purchase at FME and FEEC

On Wednesday, May 14, the nationwide flower charity collection Czech Day Against Cancer will take place. This year's theme focuses on screening programs and the prevention of colorectal cancer. Students and staff of BUT will also be able to support the charitable event at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication.
The FME Campus Library is proudly partnering with this charity event for the fourth time, aiming to raise awareness about cancer prevention and gather funds to fight the disease. The yellow flower, a symbol of the fight against cancer, will be available for purchase on Wednesday in Building A1 at the reception desk from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM and from Wednesday to Friday at the borrowing desk in the FEEC Campus Library in Building T12.

Payment can be made in cash or via QR code. The price of one flower is 20 CZK, but donors are welcome to contribute more. Cash donations are inserted directly into a collection bag slot, so the organizers kindly ask supporters to prepare the exact amount in advance, as no change can be given. The cashless alternative is the mentioned QR payment.

With each flower, donors will also receive a leaflet with information about disease prevention. Funds raised will be used for cancer prevention, improving the quality of life for oncology patients, supporting oncology education, research, and equipping oncology centers.
