125 FME: A year of celebrations begins!

This year is a special one for the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. It will celebrate its 125th anniversary! Whether you're a faculty employee, student, alumnus, or supporter, we would be delighted if you join us for the celebrations.


With the start of the summer semester, you can visit a historical exhibition about the faculty in Building A5, which also features a space where you can leave your birthday wishes for the faculty’s 125th anniversary. During the spring months, the faculty will also host the prestigious Faculty Ball, the Students' Ball, the Golden Graduation Ceremony for alumni after 50 years, and other events. In autumn, the main celebration will take place, linked to the Researchers' Night, which is scheduled for Friday, September 26.

In the meantime, you can browse through a new publication that reflects on the history and icons of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The bilingual Czech-English brochure 125xFME spans 52 pages, offering insights into the faculty's development, its symbols, and a gallery of deans. You'll read about the campus, a historic turbine, the student statue, and the history of the Strojařské Schody race. You can view or download the electronic version here.
