The Bachelor study programme Biomedical Technology and Bioinformatics is provided mainly to those interested in professional practice, but also to future students in the follow-up Master study areas focused on biomedical engineering, medical informatics and mathematical biology. Graduates in this specialization have a good theoretical knowledge in mathematics, physics and chemistry, a basic knowledge of biology, human anatomy and physiology required for understanding of the principal biological processes in human organism, and are capable of communicating with doctors and medical staff. They get acquainted with the principles of operation and use of medical devices and medical informatics including communication with them. They are provided with information on medical legislative to be applied in professional practice.
