The study branch of Power Electrical Engineering and Power Systems aims at the education of engineers with a broad base-knowledge of theory, construction, design and applications of electrical parts and units in the various areas of industrial and home electrical engineering. The branch includes the advanced problems of power and control electronics through controlled drives of automated production systems and computerized power systems.
Within the framework of study branch Power Electrical Engineering and Power Systems the students may choice orientation either on Power Electrical Engineering which is construction, design and production of electrical machines, apparatus and other appliances or on design and realization of controlled electrical drives, power electronic equipments and complex industrial automation, or on power systems, whis is energy production in power plants, transmission and distribution of energy and application of a heat and light technique.
Graduates of this branch find occupations mostly at large industrial corporations, as private businessman or in new established privat enterprises.

Graduate get knowledge of electrical machines, apparatus, electrical drives and power electronics and further knowledge of power systems such as power plants, transmission, distribution and exploitation of electrical energy and of connected branches such as electronics, measurements and control and computer exploitation Graduates get university grade (MSc., MEng., Ing) of Electrical Eengineering. After a short professional training the graduates may perform technical and manager functions and rise their career Graduates of the branch Power Electrical Engineering and Power Systems may find occupation above all in industry but also in commerce- and other corporations, not only in the electrical area.
