Opening the Iron Curtain after World War II., the displacement of the German-speaking population, the subsequent establishment of border guards and real steps towards the so-called border protection led to the extinction of settlements in many places on the border. The Czech-Australian borderland after the fall of the Iron Curtain (1989) provides many examples of the deliberate extinction of settlements and fragments of settlements in the landscape. The re-establisment of Czech-Austrian reciprocity and the restoration of a common cultural heritage is a motive for the rehabilitation and revitalization of places with memory, cultural and spiritual potential.

Are the prefab housing estates a stable home or a temporary housing with appropriate demands for such location?
