This bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of the piezoresistive effect and the characterization of material properties intended for pressure sensors. The theoretical section explains the physical principles of this effect, its historical development, applications, and its presence in metals, semiconductors, and composite materials. As part of the work, a custom-built compression apparatus (press) equipped with a heated bed was developed, allowing for characterization across a wider range of pressures and temperatures. The experimental section investigates the dependence of electrical conductivity on the applied pressure across three types of foil samples (4S50K, 8S50K, and XVCF-3.5S200) during loading and unloading cycles.
Piezoresistivity, change in resistance, pressure, mechanical stress, deformation , composite materials, semiconductors, metals.
