This master's thesis deals with the analysis, implementation, and performance evaluation of post-quantum cryptography (PQC) on resource-constrained devices, specifically on microcontrollers and smart cards. The theoretical part of the thesis maps the current state of the NIST standardization process and the technical principles of lattice-based algorithms (ML-KEM, ML-DSA) and hash-based functions (SLH-DSA). The practical part focuses on extensive benchmarking of these algorithms on the NUCLEO-F439ZI (ARM Cortex-M4) platform using the pqm4 framework and the wolfSSL cryptographic library. The measurement results demonstrate that by using optimized implementations, the deployment of PQC on modern microcontrollers is fully feasible in terms of computational performance and RAM memory limits. The thesis further documents the successful integration of a hybrid post-quantum scheme into the TLS 1.3 protocol, including the optimization of the LwIP network stack and the correction of critical bugs in the low-level interface for transmitting large PQC certificates. Given the limited availability of physical post-quantum smart cards, the work complements practical testing with an analysis of certified commercial solutions based on Common Criteria security targets.

Student prezentoval výsledky své práce a komise byla seznámena s posudky. Student obhájil diplomovou práci a odpověděl na otázky členů komise a oponenta. Otázky členů komise a oponenta: - Z jakého důvodu nebyl zvolen také FALCON, vzhledem k tomu, že ostatní schémata vybraná pro standardizaci byla? - V práci zmiňujete, že je Thales MultiApp v5.2 vybavena pokročilými protiopatřeními proti SCA. Zjišťoval jste o jaké konkrétní opatření se jedná?
