The aim of this thesis is to analyze and compare the possibilities of combining post-quantum and classical cryptography in the TLS 1.3 protocol. Since arrival of quantum computers, it is safe to say, that some algorithms will no longer be secure or efficient enough for practical implementation. In response to this threat, post-quantum cryptography has emerged as the long-term solution. However, because post-quantum schemes are still relatively new and have not yet undergone the same level of analysis as classical algorithms, hybrid cryptography is currently considered an~important transitional approach. By combining classical and post-quantum algorithms, hybrid cryptography helps with maintaining compatibility and providing needed resilience. The thesis focuses on the implementation of a console client–server application, which shows a practical comparison of available hybrid cryptographic schemes. The implementation uses the OpenSSL library extended by the OQS provider, WolfSSL, GnuTLS and the BoringSSL library, all of which provide support for various hybrid and post-quantum algorithms. The application measures selected TLS handshake parameters, leading with duration of the handshake. The resulting report provides thorough comparison of both, chosen standardized and non-yet-standardized algorithms.

Otázky oponenta: Jak probíhá metoda XOR-then-MAC pro tvorbu hybridních schémat? Co konkrétně označuje p384, x448 a další tato značení přítomná v práci v úvodech názvů hybridních algoritmů? Student prezentoval výsledky své práce a komise byla seznámena s posudky. Student obhájil bakalářskou práci a odpověděl na otázky členů komise a oponenta.
