This bachelor's thesis deals with the design and optimization of turbomachinery impellers, with a specific focus on centrifugal pumps, using the three-dimensional inverse design method. The theoretical part describes the fundamental physical principles of turbomachines, the analysis of hydraulic losses, and provides a detailed examination of the mechanisms behind the formation of secondary flows. The core of the thesis lies in the description of the inverse design method, which enables direct control over the 3D velocity and pressure fields through the definition of the blade loading distribution and the circumferential angular momentum. This theoretical foundation is subsequently followed by its practical application in the design process using the TURBOdesign1 software, which is based on the inverse design method. The practical part focuses on demonstrating how undesirable hydrodynamic phenomena can be successfully suppressed by means of the inverse method and simple modifications to the blade loading function. Subsequently, the optimization process based on the inverse method is presented, specifically utilizing the Reactive Response Surface optimization algorithm, followed by its objective verification via CFD simulations in the Ansys CFX software.

Student zahájil obhajobu prezentací své bakalářské práce, po které následovalo čtení posudků vedoucího a oponenta. Student následně zodpověděl otázky, které zazněly v oponentním posudku. Následovaly otázky komise: Jak se liší vyhodnocení dopravní výšky z měření oproti numerické simulaci? Byly uváženy i jiné numerické modely pro simulaci proudění? Všechny otázky byly zodpovězeny ke spokojenosti komise.
