Abstract:

The master’s thesis deals with potential sources of data for deflections of the vertical, represented by quasigeoids, geoid, and regional gravity model. The model that best fits the test dataset is selected and then used to analyze deflections of the vertical in the Czech Republic. The thesis also focuses on the influence of deflections of the vertical on terrestrial measurements. It includes a description of the theoretical background, an explanation of the nature of deflections of the vertical, methods for their computation and processing, as well as an evaluation of the obtained results.

Student představil komisi formou prezentace svou diplomovou práci a reagoval na připomínky a dotazy oponenta vyjádřené v oponentském posudku i na otázky členů komise. Během obhajoby položili členové komise následující otázky: Doc. Ižvoltová se zeptala na způsob určení referenčních hodnot použitých pro testování modelů. Doc. Ižvoltová se zeptala, jestli byl srovnán průběh hodnot tížnicových odchylek s průběhem topografie. Prof. Kopáčik se zeptal, jestli byly zkoumány příčiny anomálií v lokalitě Labe. Prof. Kopáčik se zeptal na rozložení minim a maxim meridiánové a příčné složky tížnicových odchylek. Na každou z těchto otázek student reagoval výborně.
