The diploma thesis focuses on the issue of towing and recovery services on highways, with the aim to create a highway model, simulate a traffic incident, and model the intervention of a towing and recovery service. As part of the thesis, a literature review was conducted in the areas of highways, traffic accidents, towing and recovery services, and societal damages. Based on these findings, a model was developed consisting of three highways with varying numbers of lanes, passenger and freight vehicles, and a towing and recovery service. The model could be configured using parameters, and its output values include societal damages, the duration of the traffic accident, and traffic flow intensity. The parameters can be optimized to find the best solution for a given problem. The validity of the model was verified through optimization and by comparing the real and simulated intervention times of the towing and recovery service.

Student nejprve prezentoval výsledky, kterých dosáhl v rámci své práce. Komise se poté seznámila s hodnocením vedoucího a posudkem oponenta práce. Student následně odpověděl na otázky oponenta a na další otázky přítomných členů komise: 1. Považujete uvedené zdroje o celospolečenských škodách za relevantní? 2. Bylo by možné uvedený model rozšířit o oponentem vytýkané skutečnosti? 3. Potřebujete pro uvedený postup pokročilý simulační software? Komise se na základě posudku oponenta, hodnocení vedoucího, přednesené prezentace a odpovědí studenta na položené otázky rozhodla práci hodnotit stupněm D
