This diploma thesis focuses on assessing the impact of the newly constructed road bypass (relocation of road No. I/45) on traffic flow and road safety in the town of Bruntál. The aim of the thesis is to analyze changes in traffic volumes at five selected intersections following the diversion of transit traffic and to propose appropriate measures to further increase safety and the level of service. Simulation modeling and AnyLogic software were utilized for the analysis. Following the creation, verification, and validation of the current-state model, individual simulations were conducted. Based on the simulation outputs, the current state was compared with the scenario planned after the opening of the bypass. The results demonstrated a noticeable improvement in traffic flow, albeit with persisting capacity and safety risks regarding left-turning vehicles. Consequently, simulations were conducted for two proposed design variants – conversion into roundabouts and the implementation of traffic signals – to evaluate how effectively they address these remaining deficiencies.

Student nejprve prezentoval výsledky, kterých dosáhl v rámci své práce. Komise se poté seznámila s hodnocením vedoucího a posudkem oponenta práce. Student následně odpověděl na otázky oponenta a na další otázky přítomných členů komise: 1. Jak jste rozlišil tranzitní vozidla v modelovaném úseku? 2.
