This thesis examines the behavior of cyclists in road traffic. Specifically, it focuses on cyclists’ behavior before turning right, left, exiting a roundabout, and changing lanes. Cyclists’ behavior before turning and changing lanes is analyzed not only in terms of monitoring the situation behind the cyclist, to the left, to the right, and regarding navigation, but also in terms of the duration of gestures, arm movements, movement toward the centerline, reaction to navigation, shift in gaze fixation, and distance traveled relative to the distance from the intersection when the cyclist performs these actions. Gaze strategies and lateral distance were also examined. The measurements were conducted in a real-world environment in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm. When visually checking the situation behind the cyclist, average gaze durations ranged from 1.054 s to 1.417 s, depending on the type of turn and traffic conditions. When examining lateral distance, the average was 1.92 m, with 14% of cyclists violating the legal requirement. The results of this thesis can be used for forensic engineering purposes in the analysis of traffic accidents, as well as in the areas of safety and cyclist education.

Student nejprve prezentoval výsledky, kterých dosáhl v rámci své práce. Komise se poté seznámila s hodnocením vedoucího a posudkem oponenta práce. Student následně odpověděl na otázky oponenta a na další otázky přítomných členů komise: 1. Uvedená hodnota 1,5 sekundy byla včetně otočeny hlavy probanda? 2. Uvedené hodnoty jsou od čidla pod sedlem k vozidlu? 3. Vysvětlete pojem doba přesunu fixace? Komise se na základě posudku oponenta, hodnocení vedoucího, přednesené prezentace a odpovědí studenta na položené otázky rozhodla práci hodnotit stupněm A
