Abstract:

The objective of this master’s thesis is the conceptual and technical design of an
underground parking garage beneath Petrov in Brno. One of its motivations is the
long-term increase in parking demand in the historic city center and the limited
potential for expanding surface parking capacity. First, the area of interest is defined
and its geological and geotechnical conditions are assessed. Based on these, the
layout, spatial arrangement and structural design of the garage, including the
excavation support concept, are developed. The New Austrian Tunneling Method
(NATM) is adopted, using blasting for rock excavation. The structural analysis of the
proposed structure is carried out using a numerical model in Plaxis 2D and includes
an evaluation of stresses, deformations and internal forces in the rock mass and the
primary lining. For the assumed input parameters, the results confirm stable
behavior of the proposed underground structure, with deformations on the order
of a few millimeters and predominantly compressive loading of the primary lining.
Finally, the thesis briefly outlines the key principles of the construction procedure,
geotechnical monitoring and the basic requirements for the operational and
technological equipment of the facility.

Bc. Christian Genzer obhajoval diplomovou práci s názvem "Podzemní garáže pod brněnským Petrovem". Po prezentaci práce a přednesení posudků vedoucího a oponenta práce reagoval na jejich dotazy a připomínky a poté na tyto otázky: Co reprezentuje zatížení nad objektem? Jaký je důvod barevného rozlišení ovlivněného okolí stavby? Jak by autor řešil případné vyšší napětí nad objektem? V rámci obhajoby diplomové práce odpovídal výborně.
