The course focuses on the physical principles, technical systems, and therapeutic applications of ultrasound, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, laser light, accelerated electrons, and protons. Covered topics include ultrasound therapy and surgery, radiofrequency ablation, hyperthermia, particle-based radiotherapy, stone fragmentation (ESWL, PEK), and electrophysiological mapping. The course also addresses the use of lasers in medicine, cardiopulmonary and renal extracorporeal circulation, interventional cardiology systems, ventilation and anesthesiology devices, defibrillators, organ replacements and prostheses, surgical robots, and technologies used in biochemical and immunological laboratories.

During their preparation, students review the main principles, methods, and technical aspects covered in the course. They work through the provided list of exam questions and reinforce their understanding of practical procedures, ensuring they are well-prepared to apply their knowledge during the final oral examination.
