Course detail

Videogram 1

FaVU-PR1-ZAcad. year: 2026/2027

Videogram is a lecture series on contemporary forms of art, artistic and curatorial practice, and theory. Through online lectures and discussions, it introduces prominent figures in contemporary art who shape narratives and content that often lie outside the traditional canon of Western modernism.

The series features interviews and lectures with artists, artist collectives, and theorists, including ruangrupa, Slavs and Tatars, Nyege Nyege, Rossella Biscotti, and the Institute of Postnatural Studies. By bringing these voices to the fore, the course seeks to offer new perspectives on everyday social realities and to foster greater sensitivity to forms of knowledge and practice that usually remain at the margins of dominant discourse. The course includes an extensive online archive providing open access to recordings of lectures and discussions, as well as secondary sources, at https://videogram.favu.vut.cz.
