An information system as a special case of a system. Kinds of information systems OLAP and OLTP. History of information systems. The technology of information system with a relational database system building. Internet type of information system. The technology of client and server programming (JavaScript and PHP). The technology of XML language.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

  • Midterm test - 19 points
  • Project - 30 points
  • Final written exam - 51 points, at least 20 points required
  • At least 25 points must be obtained during the semester

Midterm exam, the realization of a project in due dates. In the case of a reported obstacles to submitting the project, the student will be allowed to submit the project in an alternative date.

Aims

To obtain a common overview of information system branch. To get a basic knowledge of information systems based on the relational database technology. To get a basic knowledge of communication part of IS based on internet technology.
Ability to model especially economic reality in the information system. Ability and knowledge to implement information systems under database technologies in the internet environment.

Před každou přednáškou se doporučuje:

  • Zopakovat si základní pojmy a poznatky z předchozí přednášky. Následující přednáška na ně pravděpodobně bude navazovat.
  • Prostudovat si předem podklady k nadcházející přednášce a vytipovat pasáže, kterým bude během přednášky třeba věnovat zvýšenou pozornost, případně si i připravit dotazy.
