Project Practice 1

  • Instructors appointed by the head of department present their projects and certain goals to be achieved by the students in advance before enrolment.
  • Students enrol in projects in the similar way as in the thesis. A supervisor has the final right to choose. His/her choice will be justified in the written form briefly (e.g. previous practice, achieved grade average).
  • The supervisor is responsible for the regular check of a student's activity.
Proč je předmět vyučován

Jde o výběrový předmět pro velmi nadané studenty. Umožňuje jim již během studia se v rámci výuky účastnit řešení reálných projektů, které jsou obvyklé pro akademické pracovníky a studenty doktorského studia. Předmět se učí, protože umožní velmi nadaným studentům se v rámci výuky dostat ke špičkovým technologiím i řešením, kterým mohou věnovat dostatečný čas. Dále jim umožní se naučit sepisovat zprávy o své činnosti a tyto obhajovat.

Podmínky zápočtu

Před koncem výukové části semestru student odevzdá písemnou zprávu v rozsahu nejméně 10 normostran a před koncem zkouškového období představí na ústavním semináři během 15 minut výsledky, kterých dosáhl. Na základě obhajoby a odevzdané zprávy stanoví vedoucí ústavu na návrh školitele hodnocení v rozsahu 0-100 bodů. Zápočet bude studentovi udělen při získání alespoň 50 bodů.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

A student works on the assigned task according to his/her supervisor's instructions. It is expected that the student will attend regular consultations with the supervisor.

  • Continuous consultations with student's supervisor.
  • A written report in the extent of at least 10 regular pages.
  • 15 minutes presentation and defence at the department seminar.

A student must gain at least 70 points or higher to be able to continue in the follow-up course "PP2 - Project practice 2".

Aims

To make talented students familiar with the basis of research work by participating in different projects conducted by research and development groups under the expert lead of a project supervisor.
