The course is focused on making students familiar with important processes on business areas, their analysis and design of effective support in information systems and using advanced technologies leading to digitalization of business processes.

Entry knowledge

Successful completion of the course is conditional on the knowledge of planning and managing of manufacturing processes, basic knowledge of statistics, production systems analysis and ERP systems.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

The course-unit credit is awarded on condition of having attended practicals, presentation of semestr project and grading of credit test (min. 60 point).
Attendance at specified lectures is compulsory, attendance of remaining lectures is not compulsory, but is recommended. Attendance at seminars is compulsory and controled. Absence from seminars can be compensated for consultations with the tutor.

Aims

The objective of course is to make students familiar with principles, analytical tools, modelling tools and managing of company processes. The course is also addresses the problem of support of company processes linked to information systems and technologies through their life cycle.
Students will be able orientation of IT/ICT support of company processes. They will be able to creatively participate in automation and effective improvement of all processes in company.

Syllabus

Practicals are focused to practical application of lectures topics, application of methodology of computer process suport, modelling of company processes using discrete event simulation and using methods data analyses through data mining.
