Organization of Production Preparation

Definition of status and role of operation management, including service and supporting activities, standardization of work preparation. Patents.Framing of normative management base as starting point of work preparation management. Ensuring of serviceability. Knowledge base for master's studies Strategic development of the company and possible further studies at technically oriented universities or faculties.
Prerequisites
The course follows the knowledge of Mathematics I and II, Business Economics, IT Design, Materials in Electrical Engineering and Data Processing.
Co-requisites
Use of knowledge in related subjects Operative Production Management, Logistics and Inventory Management.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The exercises will take place in the laboratory using software TPV 2000 Plus to verify the preparation of a new or upgraded product.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
Credit:
control of continuous study and preparation for completion of laboratory exercises with the product TPV 2000 Plus during the semester and at the end of the semester to obtain credit in the form of written tests. 100% participation in laboratory exercises (compensation for absence).
Exam:
will be composed of: - written - 2 theoretical questions + calculation example - 70% evaluation
- oral exam - 30% of assessment
according to the ECTS grading scale, listed in the BUT Study and Examination Regulations.
Completion of the course for students with individual study-
-credit according to the agreement with the teacher on the possibility of working in the laboratory.
- exam - only oral.
Completion of the course in distance form:
- credit-based on the assigned seminar work for independent processing
- exam - written on the basis of individual assignment submitted electronically

1. Introduction to the subject, basic concepts of the corporate function of production processes
2. Lecture by an expert from TPV Group for working with the TPV 2000 Plus product.
3. Design of a new product (design documentation).
4. Production design (technological documentation)
5. Proposal for introduction into the production process
6. Technology of production operations ((products of lean production preparation)
7. Production preparation – technical documentation (primary and secondary data)
8 Technical and economic standards, regulations
9. Study of methods and measurement of work
10. Lecture by a practitioner.
11. Forms of production processes for making decisions about the life cycle of the product. TPV activities for a new product within the ERP information system linked to PLM.
12. Application of standardization in production preparation activities
13. Work productivity - measurability of TPV performance

Aims
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
Attendance at lectures is recommended, but provides knowledge for exercises in the laboratory with the product TPV 2000 Plus. Lectures by external staff from practice are mandatory. There will be two during the semester, if the crisis situation with the Covid-19 pandemic allows.
Attendance at the exercise is mandatory. Excused absence will be agreed with the teacher.
