Course detail

Practical Energetics

FSI-0PEAcad. year: 2019/2020

In frame of this course, students will visit significant energy plants - power plants, energy production facilities, etc. The students will obtain insight into current developments in the field of energy by demonstrative teaching in industrial companies supplemented by laboratory experiments carried out in labs of EU-OEI. In frame of this course, we plan to visit: Heating Plant Brno, Power plant Hodonin, Ekol, Gas compressor stations and underground natural gas storage Breclav MD, Nuclear power plant Dukovany, Pumped hydroelectric power Dalešice, substation Sokolnice, Technical Museum with expert guided tour.
Before excursions, students will be introduced to energy sources and transformations to provide enough theoretical equipment to visit the premises.
