Learning outcomes of the course unit

Obtain the basic knowledge in the field of rights in water management. Orientation in the Act No. 254/2001 Coll. - On Water (Water Law). Orientation in the problems of water management (Administrative) proceedings permits for water use. Furthermore, knowledge of the hierarchy of government in the area of urban planning, building code and water management, planning in the river basin. Basic knowledge in the field of water policy with respect to the law of the European Union.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of economy, structural engineering, water engineering, basic environmental nomenclature, basic knowledge of law, Constitution, Instrument of basic rights and liberties

Co-requisites

Preparation and management of the project respectively preparation of project documentation, waste water treatment, hydropower, reservoir and water reservoir system, flood protection, advanced knowledge in water management and water structures.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures, practical classes and self-study assignments. Attendance at lectures is optional, but attendance at classes is compulsory.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Active participation in seminars, preparation and submission of reports to practice, written test, oral exam.

Aims

Introduction of importance and mission of national administration in territorial planning, building code and water management.
Introduction of scope of water management rights and water management legislation.
Basic knowledge of water management policy, ownership relations with the regard to EU legislative.
