The course is concerned with the following topics:
Application of ventilating, exhausting and air-conditioning equipment in civil, industrial, transport and agricultural buildings. Air-conditioning of vehicles and special applications.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will made familiar with practical applications of ventilation and air-conditioning systems and their design, economy of air cooling and heat recovery of exhaust air. Students will learn how to design air-conditioning systems ait - water, kitchen ventilation and an air curtain.

Prerequisites

Theoretical knowledge of ventilation and air-conditioning.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

To meet the graded course-unit requirements students have to pass test in 13th week of the term.

Aims

The course objective is to make students familiar with ventilation, exhaust, and air-conditioning systems as employed in residential buildings, catering, sport and health care facilities, workshops, transportation and agricultural related buildings. Economy and operation of ventilation and air-conditioning equipments will be discussed as well.

Course-unit credit requirements: Attendance at seminars and meeting requirements specified by the teacher during seminars.
