The student
-will consolidate and classify the knowledge of English language grammatical sructures,
-will be able to define and analyse the grammar structures,
-will be able to apply the grammar structures appropriately in various contexts,
-will be able to find mistakes in grammar,correct these mistakes and justify their decision.

Prerequisites
Secondary school knowledge of Common European Framework of Reference B1 level is required.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in Article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.
Presenting and application of new topics using multimedia, simulation of real situations
Teaching methods include language seminars and homework. Students have to actively participate in classes.
Exercises developing communication skills in both oral and written forms.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
The assessment consists of a written final test assessing application of explained material according to the course plan,maximum points aquired is 100.
75% attendance and active participation in classes are required.

1 seminar: Introduction to the course.
2 seminar: The Present + the Past: the functioning of both tenses in ESP.
3 seminar: The Present perfect + the Past perfect: the ways of expressing the past in English.
4 seminar: The Future - the various ways of expressing the future in English.
5 seminar: Modal auxiliary verbs + Past Modals - usage in ESP.
6 seminar: Passive - the significant element of ESP.
7 seminar: Gerunds and Infinitives - the ways of formal style usage.
8 seminar: Relative Clauses - the principles of using in ESP.
9 seminar: Real Conditionals + Past Unreal Conditionals.
10 seminar: Noun Clauses - occurrance and use in ESP.
11 seminar: Reported Speech - the principles of using in ESP.
12 seminar: Analysis of ESP texts and revision.
13 seminar: Credit lesson.
