On the project

The Overall Research Objective is to find the substance(s) responsible for the antimicrobial activity, in extracts of the fungus Monascus pilosus, and to develop a descriptive model to illustrate the nature of this effect by studying physiological state of the model test G+ Clostridium bacterium under standard and inhibitory culture conditions using omics techniques and flow cytometry.
