On the project

Gold Nanoparticles (GNPs) with oxidase activity are prepared and fully characterized. The capture probe for the miR-17-3p a lung cancer biomarker is immobilized on the surface of GNPs that deactivates their oxidase activity. In presence of miR-17-3p the capture probe detaches from the surface of the GNPs which restore their oxidase activity and oxidize the TMB substrate. The oxidized TMB gives electrochemical signal that can be used for the sensitive and selective quantification of miR-17-3p.
