Description in EnglishThe aim of the project is the design, installation, and commissioning of a pilot unit for digestate treatment in a biogas plant. Digestate is a liquid by-product of biogas production with high water content and a low concentration of fertilizers. The technology will be able to reduce the volume of digestate and thus reduce the high costs associated with its storage and transport, as well as reduce undesirable environmental impacts (emissions, fossil fuel consumption). Concentrated organic fertilizer and pure water usable for irrigation or in associated agricultural production are the desired products. Waste heat from biogas combustion will be used as the main energy source. One of the partial goals includes fully automatic operation and the possibility of remote control of the process.
