Additional information:

Vitezslav "Vita" Beran is Associate professor and Vice-dean for External Relations at the Faculty of Information Technology, Brno University of Technology (FIT BUT). He graduated from BUT (Ing. and Ph.D.) and was visiting researcher at CVSSP, University of Surrey. His research interests include image, video and depth data processing, human-robot interaction (collaboration), augmented reality and artificial intelligence. He was the team leader of several local and European-funded projects. At FIT, he is responsible for the course ITU (dealing with User Interface Programming) and partially ZPO (image processing). As Vice-dean, he is engaged in partnership and cooperation with industry, foreign universities, alumni and high schools. He is a key founder of the Excel@FIT and ŽijemeIT conferences, and the Star(t)up@FIT entrepreneurship development programme.
