BUT Scientific Board

Competence

The Scientific Board of Brno University of Technology is a self-governing academic body whose powers are defined by the Higher Education Act and the Statute of BUT.

In particular, the Scientific Board discusses the strategic plan of BUT and its annual implementation plan, approves intentions in the area of accreditation (habilitation procedures and procedures for appointment as professor), exercises its authority in proceedings for appointment as professor, and discusses key documents related to quality assurance and internal quality evaluation, the Annual Report on the Activities of BUT, and other matters submitted by the Rector.
