Competence

The Department ensures in particular:

• providing legal consultations and advice,
• preparation of legal documentation,
• representation of the BUT in court disputes and proceedings under the Administrative Procedure Code,
• management, processing, interpretation and administration of internal legislation of the BUT,
• elaboration and interpretation of external legislation in the internal regulations of the BUT and internal standards of the BUT,
• debt recovery, insolvency proceedings,
• legal audit,
• coordinating the preparation, drafting and review of legal contract settings,
• administration of rectorate contracts,
• methodological support for the registration and publication of contracts,
• administration of trade licences,
• the agenda of the compensation committee,
• the agenda for ensuring free access to information,
• representation of the BUT in criminal proceedings, filing of criminal charges and appeals,
• managing strategic partnerships and BUT's participation in other legal entities.
