Competence


Three Sections are defined within the Department: the Methodological Support and Human Resources Section, the Human Resources Development Section and the Payroll Accounting Section.

The Methodological Support and Human Resources Section ensures in particular:

  • human resources administration for the Rector's Office and the relevant university-wide facilities,
  • communication with the labour offices, the Czech Social Security Administration, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the health insurance companies, the tax authorities and foreign institutions in the area of health and social insurance
  • the implementation of the determined obligations of the employer in the area of employee care,
  • cooperation with the relevant trade union bodies,
  • methodological support for the faculties and other units of BUT in the area of human resources administration, in the application of tax and social regulations and of other relevant regulations and instructions issued by the university,
  • analytical and statistical activities

The Human Resources Development Section ensures in particular:

  • the provision of activities for the fulfilment of the conditions and obligations arising from the awards obtained in the area of human resources management (in particular the HR Excellence in Research Award), the Gender Equality Plan, the Code of Conduct, as well as of the conditions and obligations aimed at complying with the rules of equal treatment and social safety,
  • the recruitment and selection of employees and the provision of related methodological support,
  • the creation, coordination and development of the employee training system, including induction programmes, internal training, e-learning, the development of competences, managerial training and support for lifelong professional development,
  • the creation, coordination and development of employee care programmes, employee benefits and other measures supporting the satisfaction, motivation, retention and long-term development of employees,
  • the evaluation and assessment of the effectiveness of human resources development, training activities and human resources development programmes,
  • the management of the personal and career development of employees and of talent management,
  • the administration, methodological development and coordination of the employee evaluation system.

The Payroll Accounting Section ensures in particular:

  • the centralised payroll office agenda for the units of BUT, including the related agendas
  • the processing of source documents for reporting,
  • the calculation of compensatory wages during temporary incapacity for work and prepares the source documents for calculation for the Municipal Social Security Administration,
  • the calculation and payment of health insurance and social security contributions on behalf of employees and of the employer,
  • cooperates with the faculties and other units of BUT in the application of the wage regulations and instructions issued by the university.
