Human Resources Department

Competence


Department of Personnel Administration is responsible for:

  • personnel administration for the Rector's Office and relevant university-wide facilities,
  • communication with labour offices, the Czech Social Insurance Administration, health insurance companies and financial authorities,
  • implementation of the employer's obligations in the area of employee care,
  • cooperation with the relevant trade union bodies,
  • cooperates with faculties and other units of the BUT in the application of tax and social regulations and relevant regulations and guidelines issued by the University.

Department of Payroll Accounting ensures in particular:

  • the centralised payroll accounting agenda for BUT units, including related agendas
  • preparation of documents for the payroll system,
  • calculation of wages, remuneration from agreements on work performed outside the employment relationship,
  • calculation of wage compensation for temporary incapacity for work and preparation of supporting documents for the Municipal Social Security Administration,
  • calculation and payment of health insurance and social security contributions for employees and employers,
  • communication with the Municipal Social Security Administration (Czech Social Security Administration), health insurance companies, the tax office and other institutions abroad,
  • cooperates with faculties and other units of the BUT in the application of payroll regulations and guidelines issued by the University


Personnel Development Department ensures in particular:

  • Ensuring and coordinating activities to fulfil the conditions and obligations arising from the HR management awards (especially the HR Excellence in Research Award), the Gender Equality Plan, the Code of Ethics, as well as the conditions and obligations aimed at compliance with the rules of equal treatment and social security
  • recruitment and selection of staff and provision of related methodological support
  • human resources management.
  • Evaluating and analysing the effectiveness of human resources development,
  • managing and coordinating personnel and career development,
  • administering and setting up a staff appraisal system.
