Competence

• is responsible for maintaining and developing BUT’s internal quality assurance system covering educational, creative and related activities in accordance with the Higher Education Act
• coordinates the system’s implementation, operation and further development
• manages certification and evaluation processes across the university, including the preparation, implementation and assessment of internal and external evaluations
• provides administrative and professional support to the BUT Internal Evaluation Board and prepares documentation related to internal quality evaluation and accreditation matters
• in the area of education, the Department manages accreditation processes for degree programmes, including institutional accreditation, prepares accreditation applications and coordinates communication with accreditation bodies
• it oversees evaluations in the field of education
• within its assigned areas of responsibility, the Department provides methodological guidance, establishes rules, procedures and methodologies, and monitors their implementation across the University

The Quality Department reports directly to the Rector of BUT.
