Competence

The Board of Trustees shall give its prior written consent to legal actions by which the BUT intends to acquire or transfer ownership of immovable property, to legal actions by which the BUT intends to acquire or transfer ownership of movable property the cost of which exceeds five hundred times the amount from which the property is deemed to be tangible property under a special regulation, legal transactions by which the BUT intends to establish an easement or other right in rem or a right of pre-emption, legal transactions by which the BUT intends to establish, dissolve or convert another legal entity, and contributions of monetary or non-monetary value to such and other legal entities.
The Board of Trustees also approves the BUT's strategic plan, the BUT's budget and the BUT's medium-term outlook, discusses the BUT's annual reports and the internal quality assessment report. It also expresses its views on other matters submitted to it for consideration by the Rector.

It also gives suggestions and expresses opinions on the activities of the BUT and carries out other activities in accordance with the Higher Education Act as amended.
